• All BalletColourful teachers and participants must comply with the BalletColourful Covid-19 Safety Policy and associated procedures.

    At BalletColourful we take very seriously the position and role we play for people in our community. We are committed to maintaining best practices in relation to hygiene standards and will always strive to make our environment safe, supportive and nurturing. Our Covid-19 safety measures are in line with current government guidelines and will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. Our Covid-19 Safety Policy has been developed with the health & safety of others in mind.

    In-Person Classes and Workshops

    • All teachers will undertake Australian Government COVID-19 infection control training and will remain up to date with government guidelines and best practice in relation to hygiene and infection control.

    • All teachers must be fully vaccinated.

    • All teachers will receive formal training in BalletColourful COVID-19 safety procedures.

    • Teachers will remind dancers of the importance of good hand washing hygiene and ask all dancers to sanitise hands before and after each class.

    • Teachers will not come into the studio if they are unwell.

    • Dancers under the age of 18 will be walked to the entrance at the conclusion of their class. If parents/carers aren’t there, dancers will be asked to sit down & wait in the studio. Kindly open the door quietly once you arrive to collect your dancer.

    Do we need to wear a mask?

    • As per AU Government guidelines, it is no longer mandatory to wear a mask indoors. If you wish to wear one you may do so.

    • BalletColourful does not supply face masks. Please carry one with you always.

    What about Vaccinations?

    • As per AU Government guidelines, vaccinations are not mandatory to attend BalletColourful offerings.

    This policy outlines how BalletColourful will protect the rights and safety of the children and young people with whom we come in contact during the course of our work.

    Our aim is to give greater emphasis and commitment to the issue of child protection in our operations, as well as to ensure that all associated with BalletColourful comply with Australian law relating to the protection of children and the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct.

    This policy is applicable to BalletColourful employees and representatives who may come into contact with children as part of their work and specifically imposes obligations on:

    • Employees and representatives of BalletColourful in Australia and overseas.

    BalletColourful will also take all possible steps to ensure that programs undertaken with local partners are safe for children.

    As a signatory to the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), Australia complies with Article 19 which requires all State parties to protect the child from all forms of violence, abuse, neglect, maltreatment and exploitation.

    All employees and representatives of BalletColourful are required to undergo a Working With Children Check and National Police Check prior to commencement.
